Porting and Gassflowing of CylinderHeads
Many ask me what is meant by porting and gassflowing of a cylinderhead. Well porting is using a pencil grinder etc to reshape the cylinder ports or chamber.
Gassflowing is to remove all the interference of free flowing gasses inside the ports.
So essentially I remove casting marks or any flash marks left over from the manufacturer casting.
Some cylinder head port are very big and cannot really be ported. In this case I gassflow only.
You cannot do the one without the other, it doesnt make sense.
All my work yields very good power from the engine. Most of the power lies under the valve area. The ports arent always needed to enlarge. Especially the newer cars that run fancy EFI's. The manufacturers has become complacent and dont flow the ports as they all use long intake runners on the EFI to give bottom end and midrange torque.
I do any cars head and the results will speak for itself. Porting a cylinder head only will make the car's engine much more efficient and economical with some gains in power. No add a long duration camshaft and a good exhaust system will have an exponential increase in power.
